This mezuzzah case was hand created. It is a one-of-a-kind.
I took the faceplate pieces and applied powdered glass. Then, using a blow torch, I heated the copper until it glowed red, melting the powdered glass. Then I applied more powder, and re-heated the copper, repeating until I got the desired effect.
The result is a permanent fusion of glass to metal. The mezuzzah case can hold a standard 3" scroll (not included). The lid is hinged, which will protect the scroll from the weather, so it can be mounted indoors or outdoors.
The enameled pieces are fused to the copper plate. The copper is untreated, and it will age beautifully, becoming darker, and eventually, will develop a natural patina.
